Spaced out at the Eden Project

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP Space Action Plan launched at Eden Project on the 6th March 2018 and we were invited by Cornwall Development Company to photograph the event.

Not only was it a pleasure to photograph the several speakers but it was exciting to hear more about how our region can share in the year-on-year growth of the global space economy, estimated to be worth £400 billion annually by 2030.

The UK is hoping to capture 10% of that market, presenting a huge opportunity for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to harness existing assets and to be at the forefront of the space revolution.

The plan aims to create 1,000 space technology jobs by 2025 and to double that by 2030. This could generate a further 8,000 jobs in the space supply chain, and grow our economy by over £1 billion.

The outcome of a funding bid to the UK Space Agency is expected to be known by the end of March.

Working alongside Pixel Rain who were shooting film, we captured a comprehensive portfolio of images that can now be used by our client to share this high profile event, far and wide.
